Description: Y. Vider, 1926, Seini, Romania. Boards. Book Condition: Good+. In Hebrew. Commentary on Mishnah Avot. Brach, 1865-1940, rabbi in Slovakia. His Avot al Banim is prefaced by a violent attack on the Zionist movement (the Mizrachi & Agudat Israel included). Here he states that believers in the laws of Moses 'should keep their distance from Zionists & Mizrachist homes & avoid eating & drinking with them as they would Gentiles. Further, they ought be excluded from the community'. (EJ 4:1287). The Seini community was inportant in the history of Transylvanian Jewry because of the Hebrew printing press established there by Joseph Wieder. The first Hebrew work was printed in 1904 and the last in 1943. Book is slightly cocked; corners & top & bottom of spine bumped. 48, 96 pp.
