He was one of the original 24 Soviet Jews to participate in the first political strike in Soviet history, at the Supreme Soviet reception hall in February 1971. As a result of this strike, called to protest Soviet Jewish emigration polices, the floodgates were opened for Jewish emigration to Israel. He found Israel to be a disillusionment.

Media mail can take up to 2 weeks to reach you. For priority mail, please inquire. The $5.15 listed on the checkout page is only for average sized books which fit into priority mail envelopes; larger books will cost more for priority mail shipping.
