Description: B.W Huebsch, 1925, NY. Book Condition: Good+. 22 pp of text. Born in 1880, French influences have been numerous & varied in this Siberian-born artist. 1878-1965. Born in Tyumen Russia. Immigrated to NYC as a boy. Lived on the Lower East Side, Jacob Epstein was a neighbor and close friend. 1906 studied in Paris for 2 years. Painted assiduously until 1930's when his eyesight failed. Style ranges from romanticism to abstract art. Drawings & watercolors painted between 1900-1917. Slight soiling to covers & edges. 4to.
