Margoliot, died 1781, Lithuanian rabbi & commentator on Jerusalem Talmud. His main claim to fame rests on his important commentary on the Jerusalem Talmud, to all intents and purposes the first of its kind. The full commentary was not published until 80 years after his death, together with the text of the Talmud, in Zhitomir, 1860-67. It has become the standard commentary on the Jerusalem Talmud. (EJ 11:963). Between 1860-67, Aryeh Leib printed an edition of the Jerusalem Talmud. (EJ 16:1013). Worm holes on front & rear hinges;  front fly leaf creased.
